Lyrehca and Mister Lyrehca are thrilled to annouce the birth of their new son, Baby L.
Baby L arrived at 11:24 am on Monday, April 9, 2007. He weighed seven pounds, nine ounces, and was 20.5 inches long. He is super gorgeous--all the nurses and doctors here keep saying so (and admit, when I ask, that they don't say that about everyone's baby).
His post-pregnancy blood sugars, an indication of Mom's blood sugars, were in the 60s that day. Anything considered low for a baby is under 40. Mom was thrilled that his blood sugars were normal. (Mom's blood sugars were in the 80s and 90s throughout the procedure, and she felt relatively good after having a c-section. Two days later, she's rocking the painkillers as needed, and still feeling relatively good.)
Baby L is super cute, is sort of getting the hang of breast feeding, and sleeps a bunch (for now).
We're headed home from the hospital on Friday. No idea when I'll have more time to write, but just wanted to update things. Thanks to everyone for all your good wishes, and I'll update when I can.
