I've trained. I'm more of an athlete than I was eight weeks ago. I can jog for a short while without gasping. I can swim longer distances than before. I know how to shift gears on a bike to really climb up a hill.
I know how to transition from a swim leg to a bike ride. From a bike to a run. What to wear. How to wear it. What to eat. How to bolus. When to test.
So I'm ready.
But I'm still nervous.
